Encouragement
Why is it important to study the Bible?1) The Bible is infallible in its totality.
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; (Psalm 19:7)
2) The Bible is inerrant in its parts.
Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. (Proverbs 30:5-6)
3) The Bible is complete.
For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)
4) The Bible is authoritative and final.
Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89)
5) The Bible is totally sufficient for all your needs.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16-17)
6) The Bible will accomplish what it promises.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
7) The Bible provides assurance of your salvation.
He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. (John 8:47)
